The main themes of the Split rug collection are timelessness, the feel of the material and earthiness. The rugs are designed to be extremely long-lasting, both in terms of color and durability.

The rug is woven in a sturdy twill weave with a warp of highly durable black polyester. The weft is a combination of thick, certified wool yarn (45%) and organic European linen (55%). The ends of the rug are finished with linen thread.

The responsible materials have been selected based on durability, wear resistance and ease of maintenance. The color scheme of the rugs is built around the natural shades of the materials. Split is woven in Finland using a continuous warp method, where no warp is wasted in the manufacturing process.

Split carpets are also suitable for public spaces.

Color options

The rug is available in two sizes and four different color combinations. The colors are linen-white (71), linen-toffee (73), linen-grey (77) and linen-brown (90). The larger rug measures 200 x 300 cm and the smaller one 160 x 230 cm.

ELINA HELENIUS

Elina Helenius is a versatile textile designer specializing in pattern and color design. She holds a Master of Arts degree from Aalto University's Textile Design program.

During his 30-year career, he has worked on various product design and productization projects for both Finnish and international clients. He has received several awards, including the title of Textile Artist of the Year in 2012.
